About The Position

Deputy Director of Program & Training Operations Organization: Developmental Disabilities Ministries, Inc. (DDM) Location: Statewide (Georgia) Reports To: Vice President of Programs & Operations Position Overview The Deputy Director of Program & Training Operations strengthens DDM’s program quality, training systems, and statewide operational consistency. Reporting to the Vice President of Programs & Operations, this role serves as a key operational leader, overseeing training development, program implementation, and staff support across all regions. This position includes an indirect line of management for all Program staff statewide and will also serve as a Designated Developmental Disabilities Professional (DDP), completing required visits, documentation, and oversight responsibilities in compliance with DBHDD standards. This role is essential to DDM’s goal of becoming the “Chick-fil-A of social work”—delivering excellence, consistency, and mission-driven service across every home and program.

Requirements

  • Designation as a DDP (Developmental Disabilities Professional) as defined by relevant state regulations.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Behavioral Science, Special Education, Public Administration, or related field.
  • 5–10 years of progressive experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory or management experience in case management or developmental disability services.
  • Thorough knowledge of HCBS waiver programs, person-centered planning, and regulatory compliance.
  • Hold prior to employment a valid Georgia driver’s license (with no more than 2 driving violations in the past 3 years; no DUI or super speeder tickets).
  • Receive satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report, Criminal Record Check, Physician’s Statement, and TB test.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Able to demonstrate the principles of meal planning and preparation, personal hygiene, proper manners, personal conduct, and good grooming.
  • Writing and documentation skills.
  • Working skills in communicating and dealing effectively with others.
  • Must be a US Citizen or have a valid green card.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in government agencies, provider organizations, or disability service systems.
  • Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with incident management systems, utilization review, and quality assurance processes.
  • Experience or training in the field of Developmental Disabilities, Mental Health, Special Education, or Social Services is a plus.
  • Flexible team player
