EXAMPLES OF WORKED PERFORMED: Oversee Product Returns team, Merchandise Disposition, and Re-Wrap team to ensure the proper tasks are being done in a safe, timely manner, such as, but not limited to: receiving delivery trucks, returns, work orders from the loading dock, inter-store transfers, repossessions, and mattresses; placing merchandise in proper area with the correct tag/label; giving employees knowledge of merchandise; ensuring all merchandise received is be labeled and scanned properly with scan guns to ensure an accurate inventory count; assign daily assignments and responsibilities; ensure proper assembly of merchandise; ensure proper procedures are done when scanning merchandise to and from other departments. Conduct team building and communication exercises as assigned by Organizational Development Team and management; enforce disciplinary actions, conducts reprimands, counseling sessions, and commendations; ensure that all employees are using proper lifting techniques; provide leadership to support the overall communications between all departments. Delegate responsibility appropriately; plan and organize efficiently and effectively, communicate goals and performance metrics to team members regularly; other duties as directed by management. EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS: Ability to repetitively lift heavy merchandise of 50 lbs; ability to communicate effectively with team members; working knowledge of computer systems; advanced knowledge, and ability to train on scan gun procedures; positive attitude when working with customers; knowledge of employment and safety procedures. Supervisory experience required. PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIREMENTS: To successfully perform the essential functions of the job, an employee must be able to perform the following: Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, climbing, crawling, walking, pulling, lifting, talking, hearing/listening and repetitive motion. Heavy Work: Lifting up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 30 lbs constantly to move objects.
