About The Position

Motivate is looking for part time seasonal Bike Mechanics to assist with all aspects of bike assembly, maintenance, and repair within their depot. Training in technical and unique aspects of bikeshare bikes will be provided. Motivate is the premier micromobility service operations and infrastructure expert, delivering bikeshare operations management services to many of the nation’s largest cities. Requirements

  • Mechanically inclined and knowledgeable in completing repairs
  • Enjoy working on repairs in a warehouse environment
  • Teachable and eager to learn new things
  • Dependable, exhibit a strong work ethic, and take pride in your work
  • Strong commitment to safe work practices
  • Willing to work primarily in our bike repair depot, but also outdoors traveling on a bike throughout our network of stations if needed
  • Dependable, willing and able to work scheduled shifts, including off hours and/or weekends as needed
  • Can lift to 75 pounds, stoop, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience working with professional bicycles or similar mechanical repairs preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist with all aspects of bike assembly, maintenance, and repair within our depot
  • Complete bike maintenance, inspections, and repairs in a professional and timely manner, with a focus on quality, productivity, and safety, working at one of our bike repair depots
  • Keep detailed, accurate records of repairs using a smartphone
  • Stock, organize, and use various repair tools, supplies, and other equipment
  • Maintain compliance with standard operating procedures and repair methods
  • Follow all safety regulations and protocols, promptly reporting safety concerns to management
