Currently we are hiring a Deposit Operations Representative to our Corporate team at our Jackson branch. In this position, you will provide support to customers and bank employees investigating, processing, and resolving banking transactions. This includes confirming account postings, checking accuracy of figures, and investigating fraudulent account activity. It is important that you display excellent customer service, communicate clearly, and demonstrate basic clerical and office technology aptitude. Essential Functions Statement(s) Accesses computerized financial information to answer account questions for customers. Provides customer support for current and future electronic banking services Communicates with bank officers regarding insufficient funds for accounts assigned to them. Responds to requests from bank employees, management, customers, and vendors. Resolves non-posted items. Processes requests for stop payments and chargeback items. Mails appropriate notices to customers regarding insufficient funds and chargeback items. Identifies fraudulent transactions through a variety of financial reports and software programs. Reconciles records of internal bank transactions. Processes disputes regarding unauthorized ATM and debit card transactions. Verifies and approves wire transfer documents and other similar financial transactions. Prepares and issues interest checks according to established procedures. Researches and resolves cash letter differences and deposit account adjustments. Processes check reclamations, death alerts, subpoenas, and other legal requests. Performs general office duties such as scanning, filing, answering telephones, and handling routine correspondence. Using the Branch Capture system, images transactions processed for the day. Ensures bank records are maintained following the bank’s retention schedule. Participates in continued compliance training for relevant lending and deposit laws and regulations. Responsible for understanding and following all internal banking policies and procedures. Maintains regular, punctual, and physical attendance.
