About The Position

Under general supervision, the Department Coordinator role delivers multifaceted support across academic programs, event operations, financial processes, and departmental administration. The incumbent supports the Master's in Professional Accountancy (MP Ace) and Master’s in Science of Taxation (MST) programs, facilitates community outreach efforts, oversees essential fiscal functions, maintains department communications and webpages, assists faculty and students with critical processes, and contributes to scholarship, accreditation, and committee activities. By coordinating data, resources, schedules, and events, the position helps create an organized, service-oriented environment that drives program quality and promotes departmental excellence.

Requirements

  • Equivalent to five (5) years of full-time, progressively responsible administrative or technical office management experience in an administrative capacity exercising independent judgment and leading the work of others.
  • Equivalent to full-time college or university education/vocational school training in business or job-related field may be substituted for up to two (2) years of the required experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to support complex academic programs by coordinating schedules, monitoring enrollments, processing academic forms, and maintaining accurate student and program records.
  • Skilled in communicating key deadlines and information to students, faculty, and leadership, while ensuring efficient administrative flow across graduate and undergraduate programs.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with experience collecting, evaluating, and presenting data for academic programs.
  • Able to interpret cohort trends, survey results, academic progress indicators, and exam outcomes to support strategic decision-making.
  • Competent in applying analytics techniques to enhance reporting quality, support accreditation-related data needs, and improve program effectiveness.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with experience collecting, evaluating, and presenting data for academic programs.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in the coordination/planning of the Master’s in Professional Accountancy Program.
  • Provides coordination for the Department's Community Outreach program sponsored by Moss Adams.
  • Monitors state financials and foundation account reports for accuracy and currency.
  • Greets students and faculty, providing them with general information and correct forms.
  • Serves as a Member of Awards Banquet/Scholarship Committee, Noski Family Scholarship Committee, Commencement/Hooding Ceremony Committee, Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) Accreditation Committee (Admin Coordinator, and other Committees as needed or assigned to.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
