What does a Department Clerk I or II do for us? A Department Clerk I or II is an entry level position. Under direct supervision, they perform routine support functions following established work procedures. Functions may include data collection, data entry, reconciliation, document processing, copying, information exchange, filing, and record-keeping. A Department Clerk II’s work is generally of a critical or confidential nature and requires broad knowledge of company and/or department procedures.   • Department Clerk I Education: High school diploma or GED
  • Experience: 1-2 years of prior office experience or equivalent combination of formal education and work experience
  • Department Clerk II Education: High school Diploma or GED
  • Experience: 3-4 years of related experience or equivalent combination of formal education and work experience
  • This position requires working at a desk/computer for extended periods of time. It requires the use of office equipment, fine motor skills including typing on the computer, dialing phones, filing paper, and working in close proximity to other people. There may be occasional lifts of no more than 25lbs. from floor.
