About The Position

This position will support the vision, mission and strategic priorities of ESC Region 12 by providing assistance and support to the Department of Information Services.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree required
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to facilitate, communicate, organize, problem-solve, and manage multiple projects
  • Positive attitude, dependable, team player
  • Able to implement QMS initiatives
  • Ability to implement policy and procedures
  • Ability to use software to develop spreadsheets, perform data analysis and word processing
  • Ability to manage budgets
  • Excellent public relations, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in word processing, Excel, Windows and Google Apps
  • Manage multiple projects in a flexible and adaptable environment due to a variety of clients served
  • Handle critical deadlines, demonstrate initiative in difficult situations
  • Participate in ESC Region 12 and/or other professional development opportunities

  • Appropriate certifications or related work experience

Responsibilities

  • Provide general secretarial support to Director and Department.
  • Assist with workshop preparation and data entry.
  • Proof the department's written communications prior to release.
  • Make travel arrangements for out-of-region or out-of-state travel
  • Maintain department budgets and prepare and track purchase orders.
  • Provide assistance to the department support staff.
  • Maintain leave and time reporting records.
  • Coordinate office procedures and systems with department support staff including session, conference, and special event management.
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
  • Maintain both digital and physical filing systems for employee records, policies, and departmental files, ensuring confidentiality and compliance.
  • Ensure all employee personnel files are complete, current, and compliant with relevant regulations, maintaining strict confidentiality.
  • Plan and provide onboarding training for new employees
  • Assist employees with general questions regarding benefits enrollment or plan changes and distribute benefits materials.
