For this Dental Hygienist role in Independent Practice, the clinician focuses on providing direct patient care and making all clinical decisions, while 360Care manages administrative tasks such as scheduling, billing, and comprehensive office support.

Requirements

  • Valid Dental Hygiene or Registered Dental Hygiene License
  • Valid Independent Certification and/or License to practice independently
  • Must have own reliable transportation, good driving record, and car insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough oral health assessments, including for signs of oral diseases and abnormalities.
  • Acts as an autonomous clinician responsible for comprehensive oral hygiene assessments.
  • Perform dental cleanings, including removing plaque, calculus, and stains from teeth.
  • Apply preventative treatments like fluoride applications and sealants.
  • Educate patients and families on proper oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing and dietary recommendations.
  • Take digital dental x-rays as needed.
  • Accurate and timely updates to patient records including documenting treatments and observations.
  • Assist Dentist during exams and procedures as needed.
  • Assist with patient transportation.
  • Communicate effectively with all patients, family members, providers, faculty, and staff.
  • Provide timely responses to patient inquiries; document conversations in the EMR.
  • Requires travel up to 100% of the time.
