The Dental Clinic Manager supports the dental department, including patients, students, faculty, and staff.

Requirements

  • office management experience, including ordering supplies, billing, and fee collection procedures, scheduling, working knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA guidelines, and great customer service skills

Responsibilities

  • Ordering supplies for the operation of the dental clinic business office.
  • Ordering and tracking of supplies for the operation of the clinic.
  • Arranges for equipment maintenance visits.
  • Participating in training to operate and train others in the digital computerized treatment planning, billing, and coding system for all patients in the clinic.
  • Setting up training and becoming a trainer for other personnel in the following areas required by CODA for clinic operation:
  • HIPAA regulations
  • Infection Control Practices
  • CPR training and monitoring for all students and staff.
  • OSHA Regulations regarding the operation of a public clinical facility.
  • Biohazard Waste management training and disposal procedures
  • Recruitment and scheduling of clinic patients.
  • Handling all paperwork, billing, and fee collection procedures for patient intake.
  • Drafting policies and procedures for students and faculty in areas of monitoring for HIPAA regulations, infection control practices, biohazard waste management, front office procedures, keeping the current MSDS manual, and radiation safety practices manual.
  • Maintains quality assurance monitoring of sterilization systems.
  • Greets and assists clinic patients and visitors.
  • Develops and maintains department filing systems.
  • Handles the scheduling and administration of proposed cash programs that will be conducted as part of the dental clinic.
  • Other duties as assigned.
