This position will be located at the OHSU Russell St. Dental Clinic, 214 N. Russell St. Portland, OR 97227. Working shift is 7:30AM-4:30PM. Function/Duties of Position The School of Dentistry shares the mission of the Oregon Health & Science University to provide educational programs, basic and clinical research, and high quality care and community programs. We strive to foster an environment of mutual respect where the free exchange of ideas can flourish. The dental school prepares graduates in general dentistry and the dental specialties to deliver compassionate and ethical oral-facial health care. This Dental Assistant position supports the Russell Street Dental Clinic but also supports multiple departments within the School of Dentistry based upon clinical needs. The position requires flexibility and willingness to adapt to new situations and processes based upon the specific department that is being supported for each shift. Work units are primarily housed at the Russell St. Dental Clinic with an additional work unit at the SOD, RLSB (Robertson Life Science Building) on the South Waterfront. EFDA certification highly encouraged.
Requirements
- Completion of an approved Dental Assistant training program OR One year of experience as a chair side Dental Assistant
- Certification by the Oregon State Board of Dentistry for Radiological Proficiency required for all positions
- Current valid Basic Life Support (BLS) card issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) required for all positions
- Must have worked as a dental assistant within the last 5 years
Nice To Haves
