About The Position

Marqeta is seeking a Demand Generation Manager who will drive the performance of marketing programs for key sales segments. This role sits at the intersection of marketing and sales, ensuring campaigns, content, and creative assets are not only distributed flawlessly but drive measurable outcomes. The manager will own the end-to-end demand strategy for assigned segments, from planning through execution to pipeline impact. You will be responsible for improving core KPIs: target account engagement, intent progression, and pipeline generation. By continuously analyzing results and integrating feedback from sellers, you will guide marketing teams to improve programs, optimize campaigns, and maximize revenue impact. The ideal candidate is analytical, collaborative, and obsessive about performance, thriving on testing, learning, and making data-driven decisions that influence pipeline results. Marqeta operates with a Flexible First policy, allowing this role to be performed remotely within the United States or from their Oakland, CA or New York City offices. If based within 35 miles of these offices, a 2-day/week in-office presence is expected.

Requirements

  • 5-6 years in B2B demand generation, performance marketing, or growth marketing
  • Proven experience owning or influencing pipeline metrics, not just campaign execution
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to connect campaign performance to funnel and revenue outcomes
  • Experience partnering closely with sales teams and incorporating field feedback into marketing decisions
  • Strong commercial mindset with an understanding of how marketing influences deal progression and revenue outcomes
  • Proficiency in Salesforce and Marketo (or similar platforms)
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and building programs from scratch without fully defined playbooks

Nice To Haves

  • Drive performance against core demand KPIs: target account engagement, intent progression, and pipeline generation for assigned sales segments

  • Partner with sales to understand account engagement, follow-up quality, and conversion trends, translating insights into actionable campaign recommendations
  • Optimize channels and campaigns across paid media (including Google, LinkedIn, Reddit, programmatic), SEO/AEO programs, and events based on performance data
  • Establish and execute a structured testing agenda, learning from results and sharing insights to guide future marketing decisions
  • Ensure accurate tracking, attribution, and reporting in partnership with marketing operations
  • Monitor and report on segment and campaign performance regularly, using data and sales feedback to improve engagement, conversion, and pipeline impact
