Delivery Assistant

HD SupplyWest Sacramento, CA
Onsite

About The Position

Assists delivery drivers with customer orders, including loading and off-loading product, interfacing with customers, and ensuring all safety procedures and practices are followed and maintained. This role does not require or allow the operation of a company or rental vehicle. The position selects correct processes from clearly prescribed rules, past practices, or instruction. It seeks advice and guidance on non-routine or problem areas from a supervisor, and deviations from the norm are cleared by the supervisor. Under close supervision, the role exercises limited latitude/independent judgment, and work typically involves detailed checks or close review of output by a senior coworker and/or supervisor. At HD Supply, the core purpose is to improve associates’ lives and equip them with the tools needed to provide exceptional customer experiences every day. As one of the largest industrial distributors in North America, HD Supply enables customer success by consistently delivering what they need, where and when they need it. HD Supply has more than 80 years of experience supporting customers with leadership positions in maintenance, repair and operations (MRO).
