The Delivery Assistant is responsible for assisting with delivery and warehouse activities. This includes loading and unloading trucks and helping with the delivery of merchandise to customer's homes or businesses. The role also involves placing stock on shelves or racks, setting up merchandise and sales promotion displays, and performing general maintenance and grounds keeping duties for the warehouse and/or store. The assistant will unload merchandise from warehouse and freight trucks, ensure safe operations of vehicles by assisting delivery truck drivers, record deliveries, load trucks for daily deliveries, assist with delivery, unloading and set-up, and obtain customer signatures on receipts. Additional duties include assisting with repossessions of goods, assembling merchandise, performing customer service inspections and repairs, and maintaining cleanliness of the store/warehouse interior and grounds. The position requires upholding and promoting the company’s H.O.M.E. values.
