About The Position

The position of Decommissioning Facilities Operator - C entails the startup, operation, monitoring, and shutdown of utility systems & safety systems, ensuring they operate within specified parameters and meet quality standards. Responsibilities also include maintaining compliance with environmental guidelines, conducting equipment testing and maintenance, and facilitating a safe work environment through risk assessments and clear communication. Additionally, the position involves maintaining accurate records and fostering positive working relationships.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required.
  • 1-2 years of offshore experience.
  • Proficiency with Permit to Work processes.
  • Medically fit for offshore work per international standards (e.g., ENG1 or equivalent).
  • Must have current T2.

Responsibilities

  • Basic understanding of facility drawings.
  • Familiar with API 14C, API RP 2D, and CFR/ USCG regulations.
  • Basic understanding of SEMS requirements and policies.
  • Basic knowledge of pollution inspections and record keeping requirements.
  • Basic understanding of concepts and principles for job role.
  • Assist with coordination of platform de-inventory process.
  • Assist with make safe operations on platform with construction to achieve platform safety and integrity.
  • Assist with testing, calibration, and maintenance of equipment per API and CFR/ USCG requirements.
  • Participate in safety meetings, risk assessments, emergency drills, facility orientations, and JSA reviews.
  • Perform various operations through the use of Safe Work Practices (JSA/LOTO/HWP/Heights/Open Hole/Crane/etc.) as required.
  • Assist with startup, operate, monitor and shut down utility systems.
  • Assist with monitoring and operating electrical/hydraulic control panels, safety and emergency shutdown devices, fire and gas systems.
  • Ability to perform assigned tasks with guidance and monitoring.
  • Has basic skill level and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to identify and define key elements of the topic as well as provide basic assistance.
  • Perform crane and rigging operations as required.
  • Collaborate and work with the operators on the team.
  • Carry out all operations in safe and environmentally sound manner.
  • Gather information for daily reports, testing, and maintenance records as required by company, customer, and government agencies.
  • Maintain clear and precise communications during maintenance operations.
  • Elevates and communicates complex situations to the appropriate person.
  • Assist in activities of vendor and subcontractor personnel.
  • Create and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Create and maintain positive work culture.
