About The Position

L3Harris is seeking an experienced Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our Facilities team in Redmond, Washington. This individual will be responsible for providing support throughout the facility and within all areas of production.

Requirements

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior facilities/maintenance experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior facilities/maintenance experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment.

  • Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, and have knowledge of safe electrical practices when performing assigned tasks.
  • A valid driver’s license since the employee will drive on company business to carry out job-related duties.
  • Ability to read and work with Ladder Diagrams.
  • Experience working with intricate electronic circuit diagrams, logic diagrams, and I/O interfaces.
  • Work in compliance with all codes, ordinances, specifications, logic diagrams, blueprints, written and verbal information to layout, install construct, rebuild and maintain machinery, equipment, the physical plant and all other company assets.
  • Willing and available to work overtime, other shifts as required and be on-call as needed for facilities related emergency situations (i.e.: adverse weather, etc).
  • A high-level engagement in our Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) program which includes:
  • Identify and categorization of equipment;
  • Clean/ maintain cleanliness of equipment;
  • Eliminate sources of contamination;
  • Establish standards;
  • Implement and monitor for maintenance upkeep.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, maintenance, move, and repair various machinery and shop equipment including but not limited to CNC lathes, mills, grinders, presses, curing ovens, coating equipment, automatic welders, and hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical equipment.
  • Perform general building and grounds maintenance
  • Install, repair, and maintain electrical and plumbing systems and equipment
  • Report issues and out of control conditions to supervision/management.
  • Evaluate, prioritize and complete requests for repair.
  • Assist with preventative maintenance.
  • Perform basic to moderately complex data collection, report and provide feedback to supervision.
  • Conduct inspections.
  • Perform modifications to work areas.
  • Assist in other areas of the facility as required.
  • Ability to obtain a US Security clearance.
