About The Position
Under the supervision of the Manufacturing Supervisor, the Deburr Technician position is reserved for those individuals who exhibit extraordinary skills and knowledge required to complete complicated tasks in the plant or department. The Deburr Technician is routinely assigned to set up and operate manual and powered hand tools to remove metal burrs and rust from raw materials and machined parts. Shall be required to operate multiple machines as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum of High School Education.
- Ability to read and understand documents such as blueprints, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write standard documentation.
- Ability to communicate effectively with other employees of the organization
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprint and process sheets.
- Possess good manual dexterity capabilities.
- Sets up and operate all machines in the department.
- Locate alternate gauges as needed.
- Work with little or no supervision of assigned work.
- Train others to deburr correctly.
- Other duties may be assigned.
