About The Position

Coordinates daily activities of workers engaged in the receiving, shipping, loading, unloading, transportation, materials handling, order fulfillment. Reviews shipping documents for accuracy and directs movement of materials and products into different manufacturing plants, customer pickups, customer shipments, carriers, and other areas. Performs all these activities in compliance with the company’s personnel safety, food safety, and food quality systems as well as 5s methodology.

Requirements

  • College or High School Diploma
  • Bilingual English/Spanish - Required
  • General knowledge of the proper use of parts manuals and supply catalogs
  • CMMS systems experience such as SAP, EAM, Etc. a plus but not required.
  • Able to react proactively to shipment delays in order to escalate to next management levels.
  • Basic mathematics.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Access).
  • Ability to lift and push 50 lbs. safely.
  • Sufficient manual dexterity to operate machines properly and safely
  • Physical ability to do work requiring frequent stooping, climbing stairs, twisting and bending frequently (more than 4 hours of each activity).
  • Previous experience working in a warehouse shipping and/or receiving department.
  • Clerical experience working in an office environment.
  • Good math and problem-solving skills
  • Computer literate and knowledgeable in Microsoft Office programs
  • Advanced understanding of BAAN.
  • Advanced understanding of inventory management.
  • Principles and practices of inventory management/control and work safety.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Applicant should have excellent verbal & telephone skills.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates daily activities of workers engaged in receiving, shipping, loading, unloading, material handling, order filling, and maintaining an organized work area.
  • Reviews shipping, receiving, importation documents and directs movement of materials and products with the forklift drivers, departments, and other areas. When documents are reviewed need to check for accuracy and assign resources that the physical material matches the document quantity.
  • Follows up with any missing documentation such as Certificate of Origin, Invoice is missing will need to reach out to the appropriate department such as US/MEX customs, MRO/buyers, Finance, Customs [for importations]. Assures information is withing a timely manner available.
  • Prepares work orders, manifest, BOL, Packing list, and certificate of for exportation document of raw materials, parts as necessary. Also instructs the clerk how to enter data needed to create such documents.
  • Oversees storage items, inventory records, and distribution of materials. Maintains accurate records and prepares and submits required paperwork.
  • Works as back up when the leads or clerks are out.
  • Updates a perpetual, computerized (EAM) inventory control to what Is received daily.
  • Complies and enforces food quality and food safety.
  • Complies and enforces Good Distribution Practices (GDP’s).
  • Responsible for helping oversee completion of duties and events.
  • Delegate tasks to appropriate team members.
  • Work closely with management to meet deadlines and progress across the team.
  • Collect and analyze feedback from internal customers to gauge satisfaction and success.
  • Excellent management and communication.
  • Perform other relevant duties as required.
