The Center for Disability Services is hiring Day Program Counselors, also referred to as Direct Support Professionals, to empower people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This role offers a great opportunity for individuals already in the human service field or those looking to start a new career, as paid on-the-job training is provided and prior experience is not required. Counselors will engage individuals in meaningful and engaging opportunities and activities both onsite and in the community, including bowling, cooking, dance, crafts, volunteering, games, music, photography, exercising, shopping, and community exploration. The Center for Disability Services has over 80 years of experience providing innovative programs and services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the Capital Region and North Country, serving over 12,000 people.
