About The Position

As a Day Porter Janitor at SpaceX, you will be interacting with our guests (employees) and management staff in our office, warehouse, and production spaces in a polite manner. You will be responsible for general cleaning, cleaning equipment operation, conducting daily inspections, ensuring cleanliness, daily reporting, and other duties assigned by facilities management.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• 1+ year of office or industrial space cleaning experience, warehouse experience, and/or customer service experience.
• Requires being onsite fully in Hawthorne, CA - remote work not considered.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to carry large, heavy items unassisted (up to 30 lbs.).
• Ability to stand for long periods of time – up to 8-10 hours a day.
• Willingness to work all shifts and available for overtime and weekends as needed.
• Frequent bending, stooping, and lifting of objects.

Responsibilities

• General cleaning, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal.
• Restroom cleaning and sanitization, including maintaining cleanliness, replenishing supplies, and ensuring hygiene standards are met.
• High-touch area sanitization focused on areas like doorknobs, light switches, and other surfaces frequently touched by multiple people.
• Specialized cleaning, which may include carpet cleaning, floor care (stripping, waxing, polishing), window washing, or cleaning other surfaces like walls and ceilings.
• Equipment operation using equipment like floor buffers, vacuum cleaners, and carpet cleaners.
• Waste management removing trash and recycling from designated areas.
