About The Position

AECOM is currently looking for a highly skilled Database Management Specialist to join our team in San Diego, CA . As a Database Management Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing and manipulating data to generate valuable insights and reports for our clients. Unifier Systems User Administrator Participates with other team members to achieve common goals. Troubleshoots problems of low complexity and recommends appropriate action. Effectively contributes to team goals. Works under supervision of a manager with other data management staff as well as environmental scientists and engineers. Has task-level responsibility on data-oriented projects involving primarily environmental and engineering cost data. Provides input on data management and analysis projects using a variety of software tools. Works with peers, managers, and clients to solve data-oriented problems on multiple projects, providing consultative support and assisting with project deliverables. Assists in the integration of data management principles into other science and engineering disciplines.

Requirements

  • BA/BS + 2 Years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Under AECOM supervision, ability to work with a wide range of clients and have interaction with clients’ personnel.
  • Willingness to be trained and perform field work on environmental and engineering projects.
  • Ability to work with various staff in a wide range of disciplines.
  • Good oral and written communication skills with external and internal clients, and excellent problem-solving abilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant experience in the field.
  • Experience with MS Excel, specifically the ability to develop pivot tables and use other advanced features.
  • Experience with database systems and applications like MS Access, SQL Server, or Oracle, with the ability to read, write and understand SQL and understand the logic of procedural statements and code.
  • Data management and analysis experience with technical data involving engineering, environmental, analytical chemistry, or equivalent disciplines.
  • Degree or training in environmental science and/or data analytics disciplines.
  • Experience with business analysis, business intelligence, and related tools such as PowerBI.
