About The Position

We are seeking a Database Administrator (DBA) to support and manage enterprise database environments across Oracle or SQL platforms. This role is responsible for monitoring, optimizing, and maintaining database performance, availability, security, and data integrity in a complex, production environment. The ideal candidate can also support core database infrastructure tasks and work closely with developers and system administrators to ensure stable and efficient database operations. Requirements

  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience in a Database Administrator or DBA-focused role
  • Strong experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, and/or SQL Server environments
  • Advanced SQL and query optimization skills
  • Experience supporting basic database infrastructure and operational tasks
  • Experience with database security management, including user and access administration
  • Experience monitoring and managing database performance and workloads
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with cloud-based database platforms (e.g., Azure SQL) is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Manage, monitor, and optimize databases across an Oracle platform
  • Perform routine database maintenance including backups, restores, patching, and updates
  • Monitor database workloads and performance metrics; identify and troubleshoot issues
  • Analyze and optimize database queries to improve performance and efficiency
  • Manage database security, including user creation, access controls, and permissions
  • Follow database security best practices and organizational policies
  • Maintain clear and accurate documentation of database procedures, standards, and configurations
  • Collaborate with developers and infrastructure teams to support application and system needs
  • Assist with capacity planning, performance tuning, and resource optimization
  • Support cost-efficient use of database resources
  • Stay current with database technologies and industry best practices
