Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
5+ years of experience as a DBA with databases such as Azure, Oracle, and SQL Server.
Strong knowledge of relational database design, normalization, and indexing.
Proficiency in SQL scripting, PL/SQL, and T-SQL.
Experience with database monitoring tools (OEM, SQL Profiler, etc.).
Familiarity with cloud database services (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, Oracle Cloud).
Must be a U.S. Citizen (contractual requirement)

Nice To Haves

Exposure to BUILDER – (CERL Facility Software)
Experience with government contracts
Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain Azure, SQL Server, and other DB platforms (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.).
Perform upgrades, patches, and migrations across environments.
Monitor database performance and implement tuning strategies.
Implement and maintain database security policies, user access controls, and encryption standards.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., CMMC, HIPAA, Federal Contract).
Design and manage backup/recovery strategies.
Perform disaster recovery planning and testing.
Analyze query performance and optimize SQL code.
Configure indexing, partitioning, and caching strategies.
Work closely with developers to design efficient schemas and queries.
Provide production support and troubleshoot database issues.
Document processes, standards, and best practices.
