About The Position

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a DBA with databases such as Azure, Oracle, and SQL Server.
  • Strong knowledge of relational database design, normalization, and indexing.
  • Proficiency in SQL scripting, PL/SQL, and T-SQL.
  • Experience with database monitoring tools (OEM, SQL Profiler, etc.).
  • Familiarity with cloud database services (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, Oracle Cloud).
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (contractual requirement)

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to BUILDER – (CERL Facility Software)
  • Experience with government contracts
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain Azure, SQL Server, and other DB platforms (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.).
  • Perform upgrades, patches, and migrations across environments.
  • Monitor database performance and implement tuning strategies.
  • Implement and maintain database security policies, user access controls, and encryption standards.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., CMMC, HIPAA, Federal Contract).
  • Design and manage backup/recovery strategies.
  • Perform disaster recovery planning and testing.
  • Analyze query performance and optimize SQL code.
  • Configure indexing, partitioning, and caching strategies.
  • Work closely with developers to design efficient schemas and queries.
  • Provide production support and troubleshoot database issues.
  • Document processes, standards, and best practices.
