About The Position

The Database Administrator works under general supervision and is responsible for the installation, support, tuning, and administration of Marshfield Clinic Health System (MCHS) database environments. This individual will implement, configure and troubleshoot database instances, replication and backups. The Database Administrator will also support the upgrade and installation of new database software in a highly available environment. This individual will work closely with members of other MCHS teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelors’ degree in computer science, computer engineering, or an IT related field and two years’ relevant work experience.
  • Associate degree in IT related field and four years’ relevant work experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated experience supporting databases, writing and troubleshooting queries.
  • Knowledge and experience applying ETL principles.
  • Demonstrated experience with implementation of disaster recovery methods.
  • Knowledge and experience with server installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
