About The Position

Qualis LLC is seeking a Database Administrator with 8+  years’ experience at Eglin AFB, FL for the 96th Test Wing where you'll be working with an expert CMMI Level III team. The systems supported by the databases involved are 24/7 applications vital to national defense and are used by military personnel at over 60 locations in the US. As a member of an expert team of software engineers, network engineers, and other information technology experts, you’d have a chance to broaden your expertise and share your knowledge with teammates. The selected candidate must be ready to be the database expert for the whole team after a few months of working side by side with the current Senior Database Administrator in order to obtain system specific training. This position is located at Eglin AFB, FL.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with at least 8+ years of relevant experience required. Experience may be substituted for education with customer approval.
• Must have an active DoD Secret clearance.
• Must have an understanding of the specific procedures and processes of the Air Force Test Center and DoD regulations and guidelines.
• Must have ability to quickly understand the customers overall technical objectives and mission a provide effective solutions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with customer interaction and presentation capabilities required.
• Must exemplify a dedication to achieving the mission of the 96TW as well as high standards of quality and excellence in performing the duties.
• Must be able to work effectively alone, unsupervised, or within a group.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while being able to prioritize work to balance multiple projects and deadlines.
• Must be willing to travel up to 10%.
• US Citizenship required.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree with 15+ years of relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer, develop, maintain, and troubleshoot Microsoft SQL Server databases.
• Advise application developers in developing enhancements to existing and new applications that interact with the supported databases.
• Plan, coordinate, and implement security measures to safeguard computer databases.
