About The Position

Under general supervision of the Principal Investigator, the primary responsibilities of the data system analyst (bilingual in an AANHPI language is required) involve the application of professional concepts, methodologies, and procedures to address routine data and information management challenges. Works on problems of limited scope to provide data / information management support. The incumbent works on problems of limited scope to provide data / information management support and follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data / information from which answers can be readily obtained. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $63,700 - $136,100 (Annual Rate). Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Information and Computer Science, Statistics, or Data Science, or in related field and / or equivalent experience / training.
  • Fluent or Proficient in an Asian, Hawaiian or Pacific Islander language in reading, writing, and speaking
  • Understanding of data management operations and database administration, including data modeling, data definition, data conversion and management of content or unstructured information.
  • Knowledge of relevant rules and regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with others from diverse backgrounds.

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate technical information to technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization.
