Position Summary Join our 2026 Yes Energy Internship Program and enjoy the opportunity to work on exciting projects to shape your career in Data Systems. The intern position will help support the reliability, quality, and usability of our data systems. This role focuses on understanding how data flows through systems, validating data accuracy, and supporting the infrastructure that powers analytics and products. The intern will work closely with data engineers, analysts, and product teams. As an intern in our Data Systems team, you will apply your technical skills to gain hands-on experience working with data pipelines, databases, and system processes that support our organization. Internship Program Period: 6/1/2026 - 8/7/2026 Full-Time; temporary w/ no benefits Hybrid Location: Yes Energy Boston, MA office Hourly Rate Range: $19.00/hr - 1st year Intern $20.00/hr - 2nd year Intern $21.00/hr - 3rd year Intern $22.00/hr - 4th year Intern Reports to: Vice President, Technology The intern will learn and be exposed to Hands-on experience supporting production data systems Exposure to real-world data engineering and operational workflows Mentorship from experienced data professionals Opportunities to own meaningful projects that impact data reliability Project Work Your official project depends on what skills you have and what skills you are looking to develop. They could include the following: Auditing data pipelines or datasets and recommending improvements Building data quality checks or monitoring processes Supporting data migrations or system upgrades Creating internal documentation or tools to improve data reliability

Requirements

• Experience with SQL; familiarity with Python or similar data processing language is a plus
• Basic understanding of databases and data processing concepts
• Ability to communicate technical findings clearly
• Strong understanding of Google Suite for Business or MS Office, specifically spreadsheet fundamentals
• Strong analytical, research and organizational skills
• Problem-solving and critical thinking
• Ability to prioritize based on opportunities and effectively multitask
• Detail oriented
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• A strong desire to learn, grow, and explore new things
• Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with ETL/ELT processes
• Experience with cloud data platforms or data warehouses
• Exposure to version control (e.g., Git)
• Interest in data infrastructure, analytics engineering, or platform roles

Responsibilities

• Support data pipelines by monitoring, validating, and troubleshooting data issues
• Perform data quality checks to identify missing, inconsistent, or incorrect data
• Write and maintain SQL queries to investigate data and support internal reporting
• Assist with documenting data flows, schemas, and system dependencies
• Help automate repetitive data validation or operational tasks
• Support testing and validation for new data sources, pipelines, or system enhancements
