Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or three years of job-related experience
  • Self-motivated and self-directed professional
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with applicants, employees, HR team members, and the public
  • Ability to perform routine administrative tasks and handle basic conflicts from employees independently without referral to a supervisor
  • Basic understanding of the Master Contract, district procedures, and applicable federal and state personnel regulations (can be obtained after hire)
  • Excellent public relations, telephone communication skills, and passion for high-level customer service
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information
  • Skill in interpreting established practices and procedures when guidelines are unclear, or situations require independent judgment
  • Capacity to perform all essential functions of the position

Responsibilities

  • Compiling data from exit and stay surveys, retention metrics, focus groups, the employee database, and similar sources.
  • Gathering data for Colorado Open Records requests and provide informed recommendations to HR Directors and the Assistant Superintendent of HR to support decision-making related to recruitment and retention strategies.
  • Supporting data requests from other District 6 departments and update employee handbooks as Board Policies change.
  • Accurately maintaining key datasets, such as one-year-only staff and licensure expiration records, and maintain systems required for state and federal reporting, including the Colorado Department of Education personnel report.
  • Performing data entry in electronic personnel action requests and providing initial salary placements oversight.
  • Collaborating with and provide back-up support for HR specialists’ school sites and for leave-of-absence processing.
  • Being responsible for your own specific sites hiring processes and license tracking for charter schools.
  • Preparing contracts and employment notifications for new hires, ensuring compliance with human resources laws, RANDA evaluations, license/endorsements, policies, and procedures.
  • Analyzing candidate applications for appropriate certifications, experience, and qualifications and make recommendations for hiring decisions based on that information.
  • Managing a wide range of employee and HR-related data and turning that information into clear, useful insights that support recruitment and retention efforts.
  • Reviewing numerical information, such as staffing trends, compensation data, and incentive tracking, as well as feedback gathered from employees to help inform recommendations and decision-making.
  • Understanding hiring requirements, review candidate qualifications, and ensure information is accurate for internal reviews, public records requests, and required state and federal reports.
