The North Carolina Department of Natural and Cultural Resources (DNCR) manages over 100 locations across the state, including historic sites, museums, parks, aquariums, and various programs related to natural and cultural resources. Its vision is to be a leader in using the state's resources to build North Carolina's social, cultural, educational, and economic future. The Atlantic Conservation Coalition (ACC) program, a multi-state coalition including North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, and Maryland, aims to increase carbon sequestration by protecting and restoring forests, wetlands, and coastal habitats. This program requires quality assurance and control for the environmental assessment and monitoring of carbon benefits. This position, a Program Analyst I (NS), is a time-limited, hybrid telework eligible role located at 109 East Jones Street, Raleigh, NC 27601, with a typical work schedule of Monday-Friday, 8-5, 40 hours a week. It is subject to funding availability and may last up to 36 months, with eligible State Benefits. The ACC office oversees the implementation of the Climate Pollution Reduction Grant (CPRG) award from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and Governor Cooper's Executive Order 305, proposing 21 projects to protect and restore high-carbon coastal habitats and peatlands and promote sustainable forestry management.
