About The Position

CHS has an exciting opportunity within the growing Finance group for an experienced Data Management Specialist supporting the Finance Data Management team. This role will be responsible for customer and vendor data management across multiple systems. You must be detail-oriented and collaborative, with strong communication skills and a continuous improvement mindset. To be considered for this position, qualified candidates must be located in the greater Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN area to work a hybrid schedule (3-days per week in office) located at the corporate office in Inver Grove Heights, MN.   This requisition is intended to fill multiple positions. Candidates who meet the qualifications and move forward in the process may be considered for more than one position.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent)
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in data management, business systems, finance, and/or accounting
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data integrity and compliance

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's or bachelor’s degree Data Management, Information Technology, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • Experience with SAP, particularly SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) or similar tools
  • Background in agriculture, energy, or commodity-driven industries
  • Familiarity with data governance principles

Responsibilities

  • Manage and process requests for new or updated business partner master data, including customers, vendors, lienholders, and truckers, in alignment with defined service levels.
  • Conduct research and partner with data specialists and requestors to ensure business partner data set up is accurately.
  • Maintain and update master data across multiple systems supporting day-to-day operations and project work.
  • Monitor incoming requests to ensure timely completion and adherence to CHS data standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement and other initiatives.
  • Document and maintain data management and governance process procedures and variations.
  • Support data cleansing projects by executing changes.
  • Partner with data specialists and data stewards to recommend process improvements.
  • Escalate data-related concerns promptly and clearly to senior data specialists and leadership.
  • Assist with training and support related to new data management processes, data standards, tools, and governance best practices.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
