Start your Voyage - Apply Now Get to Know the Opportunity We are looking for a highly motivated self-starter to help us build a team that focuses on maintaining a high-quality investment data environment and enhancing the overall data experience for our investment professionals. Success in the Data Management Senior Analyst role requires a strong analytical mindset, the ability to understand exceptions and a willingness to collaborate in a team setting. The importance of data is widely understood at Voya Investment Management (IM), and you will play an important part in moving Voya's data governance mandate forward. As the Data Management Senior Analyst, you are expected to be customer focused and offer unique solutions that deliver on client expectations. In addition, you will need to be thoughtful in analyzing data and problem-solving exceptions to formulate effective solutions. How you get to a solution is just as important, if not more so, than the solution itself. In this role, you will be exposed to new ways of thinking and acquire new skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field
  • 4+ years of investment industry experience with a broad investment management domain knowledge.
  • Basic understanding of various investment instruments (Fixed Income Securities, Derivatives, Equities and Senior Loans)
  • Familiarity with investment platforms and systems (e.g., BlackRock Aladdin, Bloomberg DL+,MyStateStreet, etc.)
  • Experience with reporting platforms (e.g., SQL Management Studio, Snowflake, Power BI) desired
  • Knowledge of basic Microsoft platforms required (e.g., MS Office, Windows 10, etc.)
  • Background in data warehouse management and data mapping a strong plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with varying workloads and strict deadlines (e.g., month, quarter, and year-end)
  • Ability to independently and creatively resolve problems utilizing appropriate resources.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with peers, supervisors, project leaders, and internal/external clients.
  • Excellent team interaction and interpersonal skills (verbal and writing skills).
  • Demonstrate high levels of ethics, values, and integrity.
  • Adapt communications and style to meet colleagues' needs and express information in a clear, direct way.

Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight of daily production environment of internal investment data warehouse
  • Daily review of data quality checks to ensure accuracy and investigate outages to help facilitate solutions.
  • Research, troubleshoot, and facilitate resolution of unexpected data results.
  • Collaborate with PM's, Operations, and the Information Technology team to assist in the translation of requirements into technical solutions in the data warehouse.
  • Document business processes and perform business analysis to support users, downstream systems, and clients with validated and accurate source data.
  • Bring a fresh perspective on existing issues, processes, and controls to develop and recommend new and improved controls and procedural enhancements.
  • Participate in systems development efforts and new initiatives including testing, parallels, and specification input.
  • Promote a positive attitude and working environment among fellow employees and develop efficient working relationships.
