About The Position

The Leidos DoD Enterprise and Cyber Operations (DECO) division of the Digital Modernization Sector / DoD Defense Agencies IT Business Area has an opportunity for a Data Management Intern to support existing and growth opportunities within the division. The intern will work virtually with primarily a US Eastern and Central time focus, and a worldwide team. The Leidos DECO Division is both established and growing. Our DECO Program Operations team provides the functional support for this $600M+ annual and growing organization. Current task orders are under the Global Services Management-Operations II (GSM-O II) IDIQ and the Systems Engineering, Technology, and Innovation (SETI) IDIQ contract vehicles. We are looking for a detail-oriented, organized intern with strong communication skills and an interest in personnel data management and operational reporting. In this role, you will support the maintenance, accuracy, and organization of division personnel databases and rosters. You will assist in tracking workforce data, ensuring data integrity across systems, and supporting leadership with accurate personnel reporting. This is a virtual position with regular travel to Ft. Meade, MD or Columbia, MD

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • US citizenship required.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Interest in data management, personnel tracking, or program operations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with SharePoint or similar collaboration tools.
  • Experience working with spreadsheets, databases, or data tracking tools.
  • Interest in workforce analytics or personnel data management.
  • Exposure to data visualization or reporting tools (e.g., Power BI).

Responsibilities

  • Assist in maintaining and updating division personnel databases, ensuring records are accurate and complete.
  • Support the development and upkeep of division-wide personnel rosters, tracking staffing, roles, and locations.
  • Review and validate personnel data for accuracy and consistency across multiple tracking tools.
  • Assist in compiling personnel reports and summaries to support program leadership and decision-making.
  • Help manage and update internal tracking systems related to workforce data, including OCONUS personnel status.
  • Support the tracking and maintenance of records associated with Government Furnished Property (GFP).
  • Identify opportunities to improve data organization, reporting efficiency, and database management processes.
