About The Position

The Data Management Intern will support summer program operations by ensuring accurate data collection, entry, and management across multiple systems. This role is responsible for maintaining attendance records, inputting participant survey data, donor data, and assisting with data cleaning and quality assurance efforts. The intern will utilize Excel to organize and analyze datasets, helping to identify trends and summarize key insights to support program evaluation and decision -making. Additionally, they will assist with donor database maintenance and collaborate with program staff to ensure data accuracy and alignment with program outcomes. This position requires strong attention to detail, a commitment to data integrity and confidentiality, and the ability to support both administrative and data -related tasks in a fast -paced environment. The Intern supports a culture of data excellence across the organization, supporting consistent data collection, systems, and processes. Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in the use of computers for: word processing, databases, spreadsheets, e -mail, internet.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, sorting/filtering, basic data analysis)
  • Interest or experience in data analysis, program evaluation, or nonprofit work
  • Comfortable with CRM databases (experience with Bloomerang or Compass360 is a plus, but not required)
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast -paced environment
  • Strong ability to be flexible and adapt easily to change.
  • Proven ability to set priorities and work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to seek supervision and feedback and use it constructively.

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of frameworks such as the Developmental Relationships Framework is a plus
  • Bilingual ability in English and Spanish preferred

  • Participate in required training including but not limited to Child Abuse Prevention and Reporting and Emergency Preparedness and Environmental Safety.
  • Must have reliable transportation, maintain current and valid driver’s license, and provide proof of automotive liability insurance
  • Must be able to pass drug screening, criminal and driving background check

Responsibilities

  • Support daily summer program operations by ensuring accurate participant check -in and attendance tracking.
  • Enter and maintain attendance records in the program database (Compass360) with a high level of accuracy and timeliness.
  • Input and organize participant survey data into digital databases for reporting and analysis.
  • Assist with data cleaning and quality assurance projects, including identifying duplicates, correcting errors, and standardizing records.
  • Support maintenance and updates within the donor database (Bloomerang), including data entry and record verification.
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel to clean and organize datasets as well as perform basic analysis.
  • Assist in analyzing summer survey data, identifying trends, and summarizing key insights for program staff.
  • Maintain confidentiality and data integrity when handling participant and donor information.
  • Collaborate with program and administrative staff to ensure data aligns with program activities and outcomes.
