About The Position

Performs entry-level administrative support work. Work involves performing a wide range of administrative and office support work for the department. Employees at this level perform assignments following specific instructions and are subject to frequent review by the immediate supervisor.

Requirements

  • Must be a student in high school or other educational institution or accepted into a college, university or educational institution.
  • Must be at least 16 years of age, a student currently enrolled in high school or any institution of higher education to include a trade/vocational school.
  • Employees at least 18 years of age with valid driver's license may be assigned driving duties and may use power tools.
  • Basic understanding of Data Management principles and concepts.
  • Foundational understanding of machine learning concepts such as supervised and unsupervised learning, basic algorithms (e.g., regression, classification, and clustering) and how models rely on high-quality data.
  • Be comfortable using Python for data handling and analysis, especially libraries like Pandas, NumPy, and scikit-learn.
  • Familiarity with SQL and database systems is important to extract and manage datasets used in ML workflows. Basic knowledge of statistics, data validation, and model evaluation.
  • Knowledge of office practices and customer service practices.
  • Skill in standard Microsoft Office applications (Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook).
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Use of proper business etiquette and communications, security protocols with sensitive and confidential information, and basic office equipment
  • Adherence to applicable safety standards, practices, and procedures

Nice To Haves

  • Preference will be given to students enrolled in an Information Science, Data Science, Economics, or similar program at any level

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing, training and evaluating machines learning models for various AI driven initiatives.
  • Conduct data cleaning, preprocessing, and exploratory data analysis to support model development and improvement.
  • Process data and analytics requests for the organization, including requests to supports existing data analytics reports and dashboards maintained by data management team.
  • Assist with data exploration efforts for data analytics team.
  • Assists in drafting and reviewing program documents, such as business requirements, technical specification documents and schedule amendments, training presentations, and other documents as directed.
  • Assist with other Data Management activities as appropriate.
