About The Position

The Data Management Analyst is responsible for the governance, accuracy, and compliance of vendor and customer data across enterprise systems. This role serves as a subject‑matter expert for vendor and customer master data, leading setup and verification processes, ensuring regulatory and policy compliance, and implementing strong data quality and governance practices. Strong analytical skills, technical proficiency, and knowledge of accounting principles are essential for success in this role.

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field, or equivalent experience is required.
  • 4+ years of experience implementing, maintaining and supporting accounting systems.
  • Experience with Perceptive AP or other AP processing system is required.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday, or similar) is required.
  • Familiarity with vendor risk management, fraud prevention, or third-party compliance frameworks is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with data governance frameworks (e.g., DAMA DMBOK) is preferred.
  • Knowledge of finance, procurement, and accounts payable processes is preferred.
  • Experience supporting audits or regulatory reviews is preferred.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CDMP, CPA, CFE, or data analytics certifications) are preferred.
  • Exposure to business operations related to mid-stream energy sectors is preferred .
  • Experience in the oil & gas energy sector is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end‑to-end vendor and customer setup, and maintenance processes across enterprise systems.
  • Perform vendor verification activities, including validation of tax documentation, banking information, legal entity details, and required certifications.
  • Ensure vendors meet internal policies and external regulatory requirements prior to activation.
  • Act as an internal point of contact for vendor data issues, inquiries, and escalations.
  • Serve as a subject‑matter expert for vendor master data, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and integrity across systems.
  • Monitor, and enforce data standards, definitions, and controls for vendor data.
  • Develop and maintain data quality rules, dashboards, and metrics related to vendor data.
  • Conduct periodic data audits and compliance reviews, identifying risks and driving remediation efforts.
  • Maintain documentation for data governance processes, data definitions, and vendor compliance requirements.
  • Ensure vendor data complies with applicable regulatory, audit, and risk requirements (e.g., SOX, IRS, OFAC, internal controls).
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to vendor governance and controls
  • Proactively manage activities to deliver required work on time.
  • Produce documentation that accurately and thoroughly depicts the software requirements and related business processes.
  • Expeditiously troubleshoot application production issues and resolve the issues without causing additional problems.
  • Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.
  • Complete project responsibilities on time at required quality level.
  • Perform systems analysis and functional testing as needed.
  • Support all current applications, as well as participate in new application initiatives to replace older applications.
