What You'll Do: Under the direction of the Office of Data and Efficiency’s Data Professional Development Manager, performs non-routine administrative duties; formulates and implements program policies and practices. Supports enterprise-wide initiatives related to the data professional development program, the LeanOhio program, and organizational change management. Drives engagement, learning, and adoption of best practices to advance data literacy, innovation, and advancing data professionals across agencies for the Data Analytics Learning Center and other related programs. Manages program operations, coordinates events, oversees learning systems, and ensures alignment with strategic objectives. Provides statewide program direction for the Data Community of Practice (CoP), formulates and provides systems improvement support for the LeanOhio program. Requirements

  • 36 mos. trg. or 36 mos. exp. in business administration, management science or public administration. If assigned to operate vehicles regulated by Section 4506.01 of Revised Code, applicants must also have valid commercial driver's license. -Or completion of undergraduate core program in business administration, management science or public administration; 12 mos. trg. or 12 mos. exp. in supervisory, administrative &/or managerial position which involved limited research & public contact. If assigned to operate vehicles regulated by Section 4506.01 of Revised Code, applicants must also have valid commercial driver's license. -Or completion of undergraduate core program in academic field commensurate with program area to be assigned per approved Position Description on file; 12 mos. trg. or 12 mos. exp. in supervisory, administrative, managerial &/or staff position which involved limited research & public contact. If assigned to operate vehicles regulated by Section 4506.01 of Revised Code, applicants must also have valid commercial driver's license. -Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
  • Program Management Knowledge : Management and supervisory principles/techniques; program administration.
  • Agency policies, procedures, and public sector governance practices.
  • Data program domains: Data Governance, Analytics, Engineering, Visualization (foundational breadth to manage content/engagement).
  • Adult learning, community management, facilitation, and performance measurement.
  • Lean Six-Sigma process and systems improvement principles and practices
  • Skills: Strategic planning, policy development, and operational execution.
  • Written and oral communication; executive reporting and presentation.
  • Work coordination, prioritization, and lead direction of staff/contractors.
  • Lean process improvement facilitation
  • Data-informed decision-making; KPI design; basic analytics for evaluation.
  • Tools: collaboration suites, webinar platforms, community portals, project/portfolio tools, and knowledge repositories.
  • Abilities: Operate effectively under administrative direction with minimal supervision.
  • Develop and deliver presentations.
  • Build learning communities and manage cross-agency relationships.
  • Handle sensitive information and issues with professionalism and discretion.
  • Adapt to changing priorities; deliver results in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.
