About The Position

The Data Entry Team Member plays a critical role in supporting wood manufacturing operations by ensuring accurate, timely, and reliable data entry. By maintaining clean, dependable data, this role enables manufacturing, purchasing, scheduling, and leadership teams to make informed decisions and keep operations running smoothly. This is an on-site position.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or coursework in business, manufacturing, or information systems preferred.
  • 1–3 years of data entry, administrative, or operations support experience; manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail with a Measure Twice approach to accuracy.
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing or inventory processes preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and general computer systems.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated reliability, consistency, and willingness to support team goals in alignment with company core values.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with ERP or MRP systems in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with wood manufacturing terminology, materials, or production processes.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to identify patterns, discrepancies, or errors in data.
  • Ability to handle and route incoming phone calls on a multi-line phone system.
  • Positive attitude and commitment to being Value Added in daily work.

Responsibilities

  • Enter orders and quotes into ERP and internal systems with a Measure Twice focus on accuracy and completeness.
  • Review data for errors, inconsistencies, or missing information and resolve discrepancies promptly in a Value Added manner.
  • Support production and office teams by entering work orders, material usage, adjustments, and transaction data reliably and on time.
  • Assist with documentation related to purchasing, production scheduling, and shipping as needed.
  • File, scan, and organize electronic and physical documentation in a way that is consistently Value Added and easy to retrieve.
  • Follow established procedures and data standards to ensure consistency across systems and reports.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with internal teams to clarify data needs, missing information, or corrections, demonstrating Be Positive collaboration.
  • Partner with Production, Purchasing, Inventory Control, and Accounting teams to support daily operational needs.
  • Maintain confidentiality and data security when handling sensitive or proprietary information.
  • Organize and assemble manufacturing paperwork required for production.
  • Review incoming customer order and quote requests for completeness and accuracy.
  • Demonstrate R.a.W. (Reliable and Willing) behavior by meeting deadlines, supporting teammates, and adapting to changing priorities.
  • Continuously look for opportunities to improve data accuracy, efficiency, and process flow.
