About The Position

Temp Staff Management Group is seeking a Data Entry Clerk for our client in Monroe Township, NJ. Schedule: 1st Shift: 9AM - 6PM Monday - Friday Pay Rate: $23 / hour Job Summary: We are seeking a Data Entry – Imports Clerk with experience in import operations and documentation. The ideal candidate is bilingual (English/Spanish), proficient in Excel and Outlook, and has completed schooling (high school or higher) in a Latin American country to ensure strong Spanish grammar and written communication.

Requirements

  • MUST be bilingual - English AND Spanish
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in logistics, freight, or import-related roles
  • General understanding of Import Trade Compliance regulations
  • Hands-on experience with HTS (Harmonized TariU Schedule) classifications
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Associate degree preferred
  • High-volume data entry accuracy
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Reliability and punctual attendance
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook)
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to escalate issues appropriately

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate import documents and customs releases
  • Process import and domestic shipment documents against purchase orders and inventory guidelines
  • Ensure timely transmission of documents to customs brokers and freight forwarders
  • Assist with customs tariffs (HTS) classifications as needed
  • Communicate with customs brokers/forwarders regarding shipments in transit and status updates
  • Coordinate with Purchasing, Sales, Accounting, and local/remote warehouses on inbound shipments
  • Support Accounting with invoice and accounts payable requirements
  • Transfer data from emails and faxes into the order database system
  • Handle high-volume data entry while maintaining accuracy
  • Research and resolve order discrepancies and customer requests
  • Notify supervisors of any order-related issues
  • Maintain a strong focus on accuracy, organization, and customer satisfaction
