About The Position

We're excited to announce a dynamic opportunity for a temporary Data Entry Administrator to join our growing team! This role offers the flexibility and convenience of fully remote work, allowing you to contribute from anywhere in the United States. The Global Trade Compliance (GTC) team supports Viasat’s business and growth by being compliant with import and export regulations worldwide. We understand the regulations, requirements, and options available to us so we can transfer goods and technical information internationally and compliantly. This team interacts with all divisions within Viasat, from space to government to energy to commercial services. We support programs and products from their inception to end of life which contributes to Viasat's success by being compliant with the necessary regulations at all stages. The GTC team interacts with many groups and roles that give us intracompany and external networking opportunities, along with self advocating for the important role of export compliance. We work with a diverse group of people within Viasat and externally such as customers, engineers, contract and program managers, aftermarket services, global logistics, suppliers, legal counsel, and government entities throughout the world. As a Data Entry Administrator at Viasat, your prime responsibility will be working to input import and export authorizations in our Global Trade Management software system. You must be able to complete records accurately and efficiently. Your attention to detail will be a benefit as you check and verify records, enter data, and run reports.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to perform accurate and efficient data entry into internal systems or tracking software.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is required.
  • Proven ability to quickly learn and adopt new software systems with guided instruction.
  • Exhibit strong attention to detail and a high degree of organizational accuracy.
  • Utilize effective time management skills to manage workloads and prioritize competing tasks efficiently.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities concurrently and perform effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Possess effective written and oral communication skills for clear and professional interaction.
  • Ability to interact effectively with a diverse group of individuals and work well as a collaborative team member.
  • Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively with minimal day-to-day guidance.
  • Must be open to challenges, new ideas, and organizational change.
  • Must be comfortable working with ambiguity and taking initiative to seek clarity when needed.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-2 years of experience performing high-volume, accurate data entry is highly desired.
  • Proven working knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, such as SAP or Oracle.
  • Previous experience working directly within a Global Trade, Logistics, or Supply Chain department is a significant plus.
