The AWS Marketplace team is looking for a Data Engineer to play a key role in building insights from our large and ever-growing sets of partner and customer data. Requirements

• 3+ years of data engineering experience
• Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
• Knowledge of distributed systems as it pertains to data storage and computing

Nice To Haves

• Experience with AWS technologies like Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions
• Experience with non-relational databases / data stores (object storage, document or key-value stores, graph databases, column-family databases)
• Knowledge of professional software engineering & best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, software architectures, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellence

Responsibilities

• The Data Engineer will design, develop, implement, test, document, and operate large-scale, high-volume, high-performance data structures for analytics.
• Implement data ingestion routines both real time and batch using best practices in data modeling, ETL/ELT processes leveraging AWS technologies and data tools.
• Provide on-line reporting and analysis using business intelligence tools and a logical abstraction layer against large, multi-dimensional datasets and multiple sources.
• Produce comprehensive, usable dataset documentation and metadata.
• Provides input and recommendations on technical issues.
