About The Position

Daily supervision of the Data Coordinator/UM staff to ensure the highest level of customer service to the medical providers of the community.

Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field; Two (2) or more years experience in customer service supervision; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Working knowledge of healthcare and healthcare systems preferred.
  • Working knowledge of computer systems query languages and report writing skills.
  • Familiarity with principles and practices of system analysis and design.
  • Valid California driver’s license.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to present data in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Ability to articulate technical concepts with both technical and non-technical vendors, peers, and trainers.
  • Analytical skills to rationally resolve simple and/or complex problems.
  • Good organization skills to work on multiple assignments simultaneously, prioritize work, and complete projects within established time frames.
  • More than 50% of work time is spent in front of a computer monitor.
  • When necessary, ability to lift, carry, or move manuals and reports, weighing up to 25 lbs.
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and maintain courtesy and composure when dealing with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and initiate action to acquire needed information from professionals by phone.
  • Ability to function effectively with frequent interruptions and directions from multiple team members.

Responsibilities

  • Daily Supervision of Data Coordinator/UM staff and service workflow.
  • Monitors call volume and participates in call rotation. Initiates solutions during periods of high volume.
  • Maintains active participation in data entry of TARs and RAFs, and other related duties, adjusting assignments as necessary to meet other responsibilities.
  • Reviews quality control audits with Team Manager/UM to ensure compliance within established department guidelines, policies and procedures.
  • Identifies errors and deficiencies and Reports to Team Manager/UM any performance problems or issues when needed.
  • Works with Team Manager/UM to develop corrective action and training plans for staff.
  • Participates in the interview process for selection of qualified candidates for Data Coordinator Positions.
  • Works with appropriate staff to develop and implement appropriate training and monitoring of new and existing staff.
  • Collects and reviews time cards. Submits timecards to Team Manager/UM for signature.
  • Reviews department policies and procedures, recommends changes for more efficient operations, and communicates changes and updates to staff when appropriate.
  • Serves as back up to other HS support staff during their absence.
  • Participates in special projects, assignments and other tasks as necessary.
