About The Position

Become a part of our caring community The UM Administration Coordinator 2 contributes to administration of utilization management. The UM Administration Coordinator 2 performs varied activities and moderately complex administrative/operational/customer support assignments. Perform computations. Typically work on semi-routine assignments. The UM Administration Coordinator 2 contributes to the administration of care management and provides non-clinical support to the assessment and evaluation of members' needs and requirements to achieve and maintain optimal wellness by guiding members/families toward and facilitate interaction with resources appropriate for the care and wellbeing of members. The UM Administration Coordinator performs computations and varied activities with moderately complex administrative, operational, and customer support assignments. The decisions are typically focused on interpretation of area/department policy and methods for completing assignments. Work within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards, but has some latitude over prioritization/timing. Follow standard policies that allow for some opportunity for interpretation/deviation. Use your skills to make an impact

Requirements

  • Must reside in the Greater Chicago area/suburban Cook or nearby surrounding counties in the State of Illinois.
  • 2+ years of administrative support experience in the healthcare industry.
  • 1+ years of customer service experience.
  • Previous experience working with Medicaid, Long-term Care, or Medicare members.
  • To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees' ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees must meet the following criteria: At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is required; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested. Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership.
  • Employees who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.
  • Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.
  • Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.

Nice To Haves

  • A minimum of an Associate's degree.
  • Prior billing/claims or authorization experience
  • Proficient using electronic medical record and documentation programs.
  • Proficient with medical terminology and ICD-10 codes.
  • Experience with Utilization Review and Prior Authorization within a managed care organization.
