Job Overview The Data and Compliance Supervisor provides leadership and oversight to ensure strong data quality, grant compliance, and accurate reporting across all programs. This role combines supervisory, compliance, and data management responsibilities to ensure services meet organizational, funder, and regulatory standards. The Supervisor oversees staff supporting data and compliance functions, works closely with program leadership and headquarters (HQ) teams on special assignments, and contributes to continuous quality improvement and organizational learning. This is a full-time non-exempt, 37.5-hour per week position, reporting to the Deputy Director of Resettlement Programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, public administration, data management, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in compliance, data management, program evaluation, or grant administration.
  • At least 1 year of supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience with grant reporting, audits/monitoring, and quality assurance required.
  • Strong leadership and staff supervision skills.
  • Advanced attention to detail with the ability to manage complex compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency with data management and reporting tools (Microsoft Excel, Power BI, or similar platforms).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a multi-cultural, multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Proactive, solutions-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities independently.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to an insured vehicle preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, support, and provide day-to-day guidance to Data and Compliance staff, including onboarding, training, workload management, and performance feedback.
  • Ensure staff have clear expectations, priorities, and accountability related to compliance and data responsibilities.
  • Promote professional development, cross-training, and capacity building within the team.
  • Review staff work products to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to organizational standards.
  • Lead and coordinate grant opening, mid-cycle, and close-out processes in collaboration with program, finance, leadership, and HQ teams.
  • Ensure organizational adherence to contract, grant, and budgetary compliance requirements.
  • Oversee the maintenance of organized, complete, and audit-ready documentation for each funded program.
  • Coordinate and support award modifications, including extensions, amendments, and scope changes.
  • Provide technical guidance and oversight to program staff on donor compliance requirements and organizational policies.
  • Oversee sub-award and partnership compliance activities in line with established standards.
  • Lead the development and implementation of corrective action plans to address compliance findings or monitoring results.
  • Oversee the collection, entry, and maintenance of accurate client and program data across databases and reporting systems.
  • Design, implement, and monitor quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) processes to ensure data integrity and consistency.
  • Ensure program teams are supported with timely and accurate entry of demographics, intakes, services, and outcomes.
  • Analyze and synthesize data to generate reports on program performance, outputs, and outcomes for internal leadership, HQ, and funders.
  • Monitor program deliverables using internal tools and provide regular updates to senior leadership.
  • Lead preparation efforts for audits, site visits, and monitoring activities conducted by donors, regulatory bodies, or HQ.
  • Oversee coordination, planning, and tracking of direct assistance and client support expenditures in compliance with program guidelines.
  • Monitor client- and program-level budgets to ensure accurate, timely, and allowable use of funds.
  • Collaborate closely with Finance on financial tracking, reconciliation, and reporting.
  • Review and approve summaries of expense reports and share key trends or risks with program leadership.
  • Collaborate with program leadership to ensure alignment between service delivery, compliance, data, and reporting requirements.
  • Work closely with HQ teams on special projects, cross-regional initiatives, pilots, or additional assignments as directed by HQ.
  • Serve as a key point of contact between field programs, HQ, finance, and external partners related to data and compliance.
  • Provide training, coaching, and technical assistance to staff on compliance standards, data systems, reporting requirements, and best practices.
  • Participate in leadership meetings, cross-departmental collaborations, and professional development activities.
  • Ensure confidentiality and uphold ethical and professional standards in all aspects of work.
  • Stay current on evolving compliance regulations, data systems, donor requirements, and organizational policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support program effectiveness, HQ priorities, and organizational goals.
