This IT Datacenter Technician Intern role is a shift-based position, vital for maintaining and optimizing IT infrastructure within data centers, including modern GPU cloud cluster technologies. The intern will learn to support data center IT infrastructure, troubleshoot hardware, perform physical repairs, and ensure smooth operation of critical systems. The internship duration is 2-3 months, starting June 2026, and is a paid opportunity for current college/university students (Computer Science or related field), recent graduates, or early career specialists eligible to work in the job's location. There is an opportunity to become a full-time Nebius L1 IT Technician after the program.

Requirements

  • Enrollment in or recent graduation from an accredited college, university, or technical school with a focus on Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Be at least 18 years old by the internship start date.
  • Be eligible to work in the country where the position is located, without requiring sponsorship.
  • A demonstrated strong interest and foundational knowledge in IT data center operations, networking, hardware, and software.
  • The ability to comply with all safety, security, and confidentiality policies of the IT data center.
  • Availability to commit to the full internship duration (minimum of 8 weeks, full-time).

Responsibilities

  • Diagnosing and resolving issues related to IT hardware, while ensuring continuous support of the data center’s IT infrastructure.
  • Collaborating effectively with internal teams and external contractors to address technical and operational challenges.
  • Installing, upgrading, and dismantling hardware based on operational requests and requirements.
  • Managing and maintaining the connectivity of fiber optic cables and patch cords.
  • Planning, executing, and monitoring regular IT tasks to maintain and improve infrastructure operations.
  • Processing Return Merchandise Authorizations (RMAs) in compliance with established manuals and procedures.
  • Developing clear and comprehensive documentation and manuals for hardware configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with other teams.
