Data Analytics Engineering Co-Op (Summer/Fall) (Onsite)
About The Position
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data Analytics Co-op to join Avionics Operations Technology and Development. As a co-op, you will have the opportunity to work on real-world projects that contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of our operations. This position will provide you with valuable hands-on experience in data analytics within the aerospace and defense industry. Immerse yourself in a full-time, Monday-Friday co-op session, that will run January-August (including the Spring semester; it is expected students will take a semester off from coursework to fully engage with this working mentorship opportunity).
Requirements
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
Nice To Haves
- Proficiency in tools such as Python, R, SQL, or other programming languages for data analysis.
- Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with statistical concepts, data modeling, and predictive analytics.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for non-technical audiences.
- Prior experience or coursework in data analytics, business intelligence, or related fields.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the collection, analysis, and interpretation of data to support operational decision-making.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate insights and trends.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address data needs and opportunities for process improvements.
- Support the implementation of data-driven solutions to enhance operational performance.
- Perform data validation and ensure data quality and integrity.
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis and generate reports as needed by the Operations team.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of best practices for data analytics.
