About The Position

The Forestdale School Community : The Forestdale School’s goal is to be a model of continuous growth. We want our students to show growth in the mandated state testing: MCAS, MCAS Alt, and ACCESS. We will continue to be able to grow support for our students and their families; socially, emotionally, and academically. Presently we are a PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) school, and we are part of a three-year cohort with MTSS (Multi-Tier System of Supports) where our teachers are being trained in the foundations of social and emotional learning. Responsibilities

• Follows the teacher’s written lesson plans.
• Consults with the principal and/or staff to resolve questions and/or concerns.
• Complies with all building procedures and schedules.
• Prepares a written summary of work completed.
• Makes the absent teacher aware of special situations or problems encountered.
• Implements effective pupil management procedures.
• Maintains a positive learning environment.
• Follows all policies, rules and procedures to which regular teachers are subject and which good teaching practice dictates.
