Reporting directly to the Senior Director Retail Systems within the IT department, the D365 Business Analyst – Support Focus is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operation and continuous improvement of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 environment, with a strong emphasis on Finance & Operations (F&O). Duties include serving as the primary functional liaison between business users, the D365 Administrator, and technical teams, ensuring support requests, incidents, and enhancements are clearly defined, prioritized, and resolved.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4–6 years of experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365, preferably Finance & Operations.
  • Proven experience in a Business Analyst, Functional Analyst, or ERP support role.
  • Strong understanding of D365 F&O functional areas such as Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, Sales, or Inventory.
  • Hands-on experience supporting D365 operations, including batch jobs, workflows, security roles, and data management.
  • Experience building, supporting, or governing customer-facing ERP documents.
  • Familiarity with ITSM processes and service desk tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for business users.
  • Available to work a flexible schedule including weekends, early mornings, late evenings
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered for this role

Nice To Haves

  • Lasernet experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of D365 data structures, integrations, and reporting.
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 certifications (e.g., MB-300 or functional certifications) are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary functional point of contact for D365 support requests, incidents, and defects.
  • Triage, analyze, and document support issues, including reproduction steps, business impact, and prioritization.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand operational challenges and translate them into functional requirements or support enhancements.
  • Perform root-cause analysis on recurring or high-impact issues and recommend long-term solutions.
  • Own the Lasernet platform, including configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and coordination of updates.
  • Own and govern all customer-facing documents generated from D365, including invoices, packing slips, confirmations, and statements.
  • Partner with development and technical teams to design, test, and validate fixes and enhancements.
  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT), regression testing, and post-deployment validation.
  • Assist with data-related troubleshooting, including DMF imports/exports, validation, and reconciliation.
  • Maintain functional documentation, knowledge base articles, and support runbooks.
  • Analyze trends in support tickets to identify opportunities for process improvement and system optimization.
  • Work closely with the D365 Administrator to support releases, platform updates, and environment stability.
  • Exhibits and adheres to established company values and support standards.
