About The Position

The Cybersecurity Subject Matter Expert (SME) provides expert-level cybersecurity knowledge and support within regulated environments. This role requires deep experience in cybersecurity principles, execution of the Risk Management Framework (RMF), and secure operation of modern, high-level data center and cloud environments.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the cybersecurity field.
  • Demonstrated experience executing the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
  • One of the following education/certification pathways:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 5 years of cybersecurity and RMF experience, or
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification with 5 years of experience in cybersecurity and RMF.
  • Candidates must possess one or more certifications in cloud or infrastructure disciplines that validate the ability to support modern, high-level data center environments, including:
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) – Cloud Platform and Infrastructure
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect
  • Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) in Red Hat OpenStack
  • Other cloud certifications that validate eligibility to support modern data center environments

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a cybersecurity subject matter expert supporting activities aligned with the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
  • Apply cybersecurity expertise to environments requiring secure, modern data center and cloud infrastructure operations.
  • Support cybersecurity compliance and assurance activities throughout the lifecycle of the contract.
  • Ensure continuity of cybersecurity expertise by providing required documentation when role transitions occur.
