About The Position

We are seeking a Cybersecurity Project Engineer to maintain compliance. The contractor will ensure systems are securely designed and implemented, meet all cybersecurity requirements, comply with required controls, assess risks, and develop mitigation strategies. They will also manage and complete required documentation and to ensure successful project authorization. This position is designed to be flexible, with responsibilities evolving to meet business needs and enable individual growth.

Requirements

• Certifications: CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, CISSP
• Ability to obtain a TS/SCI with poly

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with Sponsor systems, architecture, data, and A&A processes
• Coordinating across Sponsor organizations and partners to expedite approvals
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in team environments
• Experience using Sponsor-provided tools for system design
• Certification: EC-Council Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)

Responsibilities

• Design and implementation of secure communications, networks, and cloud-hosted infrastructure (including public cloud and mobile/commercial applications)
• Experience with ICD 503 Assessment & Accreditation (A&A) processes and maintaining Authority to Operate (ATO)
• Implementation of system security controls, risk mitigation, and information security best practices
• Handling, transferring, and securing sensitive data
• Troubleshooting and triaging system issues
• Producing technical documentation and system design diagrams
• Developing and briefing system designs to technical and non-technical stakeholders
