We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Proxy Engineer to support enterprise-level network and data security operations. This role focuses on managing proxy systems, implementing secure configurations, and supporting data loss prevention initiatives to ensure the protection, compliance, and reliability of corporate IT infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Networking Technology, Computer Information Systems, or related discipline
  • 2+ years of experience in cybersecurity, network administration, or related IT security roles
  • Prior experience managing proxy environments or DLP tools is highly desirable
  • Windows and Linux administration experience
  • Network troubleshooting skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with DLP systems and proxy configuration tools
  • Certificate and Keytab management experience
  • Familiarity with Python scripting and automation concepts

Responsibilities

  • Administer, configure, and maintain enterprise proxy systems to ensure secure data routing and reliable network connectivity
  • Manage SSL certificates, Keytabs, and proxy templates, minimizing service downtime during updates or deployments
  • Collaborate with senior engineers on automation testing and enterprise rerouting projects
  • Assist with vulnerability assessments, remediation tracking, and implementation of security best practices
  • Support disaster recovery planning and execution, ensuring systems meet corporate continuity standards
  • Monitor Symantec DLP systems and respond to alerts to prevent unauthorized data transmission
  • Conduct risk analysis and enforce enterprise data handling policies in alignment with compliance frameworks
  • Perform Windows and Linux system administration, including upgrades, maintenance, and backup procedures
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity issues, router configurations, and firewall policies
  • Partner with IT operations, compliance, and development teams to uphold enterprise security standards
  • Document processes, incident responses, and configuration changes for audit and knowledge-sharing purposes
