About The Position

As a Cybersecurity Engineer, you will play a critical role in protecting our organization's digital assets and infrastructure from cyber threats. You will design, implement, and maintain security measures that safeguard sensitive information and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Your expertise will be essential in identifying vulnerabilities, responding to security incidents, and continuously improving our security posture. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will help integrate security best practices into all aspects of our technology environment. Ultimately, your work will enable the organization to operate securely and confidently in an increasingly complex cyber landscape.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in cybersecurity engineering or a similar role with hands-on experience in security technologies.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and security frameworks.
  • Experience with security tools such as firewalls, SIEM, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection platforms.
  • Knowledge of scripting or programming languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to cybersecurity.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CISM, or GIAC.
  • Experience with cloud security technologies and platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Background in incident response and digital forensics.
  • Knowledge of automation and orchestration tools for security operations.
  • Experience working in agile development environments and integrating security into DevOps processes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, configure, and manage security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and endpoint protection solutions.
  • Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests to identify and remediate risks.
  • Monitor network traffic and security alerts to detect and respond to potential threats in real time.
  • Collaborate with IT and development teams to design secure system architectures and implement security controls.
  • Investigate security breaches and incidents, perform root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies.
  • Create and maintain documentation related to security policies, procedures, and incident reports.
  • Support compliance efforts by ensuring adherence to relevant regulations and standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, and GDPR.
